Moderator journal for Last Fic Standing - House M.D.

This community is inspired by all those Last Artist/Author Standing communities you see out there. Rules loosely based off of

joss_las.

The community is open for anyone to join, to watch, vote, and participate in rounds.

Rules

1. This challenge community is based on the show House M.D.. Challenges will be centered on a character or a theme, pending mod decision before the challenge. Any genre, pairing, and perspective is welcome, so long as it fits the theme for the challenge. And the theme will be announced on Mondays after the voting has closed.

2. There must be a minimum of ten people signed up before the first round can start.

3. If you sign-up for a round and don't submit anything for a challenge you will be dropped from the round. All authors will have the ability to request a pass for a challenge, meaning that they will be able to skip one challenge. If you are dropped from four rounds, you will be banned from participating in the challenges.

4. Entries have a minimum of 100 words and a maximum of 1000 words. The maximum is set because these are drabbles and ficletts, not full fics. They are to be posted in the comment section of where the theme and rules are found, and yes, the comments will be screened for entry.

5. We, the mods, do realize that the comments have a size restriction, so if you can not post your entry in a comment box you can email it to: ws.mods@gmail.com
Make sure to put in the subject line: "LFS_House Challenge #X" and more importantly, make sure that you let us know in the email who you are, so we know which challenger goes with which emailed entry.

6. All entries will remain anonymous. This is so that the votes are as unbiased as possible. So please, don't tell your friends which is yours, and don't post your work anywhere else until voting is over. If we find out that you told your friends which is yours, or we find that you posted it somewhere before voting is over, you will be disqualified.

7. We will allow feedback on the work itself. In the post the entries are posted up in, with the poll, comments will be screened for feedback. The feedback will be posted in the results post, again anonymously. All of the feedback for entry number one will be listed, then two, and so on, without the names of the person that gave said feedback.

Passes - Everyone can request one pass per round. A pass will allow you to skip one challenge. Keep in mind you only have one per round so don't use it unless you have to, if you choose to use it because you just don't like a particular challenge that's fine, but if a week later you have computer problems or an emergency you will no longer have one available and will be dropped. You MUST let me know either by email or as a comment to the current challenge before the deadline day. That means if the submissions are due on Sunday, you have to let me know by Saturday that you want a pass. You can not request a pass for the final two rounds, I can't let the pass be the reason you make to the final round. And as for the final round, obviously you must write something to win. You also can not use a pass in the first round, unless you sign up BEFORE the first challenge is posted.
